Do I have to be certified?

Most of the major manufactures, in an attempt to assure quality product stewardship, require some level of certification in order to purchase their materials. Certifications can be obtained through distribution networks, equipment suppliers and material manufactures. Some state and jurisdictional authorities have made it mandatory to obtain certification and, in some cases, require accreditation through a recognized resource.

How much do I charge?

In most cases the largest cost of a project will fall on material cost and preparation. Due to the nature of the materials and the ability to control the application with equipment and very little manpower, installation costs are generally low. How do I estimate material coverage?

The manufacturing and installation of spray foam and polyurea membranes takes place simultaneously, therefore an emphasis is placed on manufacturing and processing controls. Actual true yield of a set is primarily determined by on-site conditions that exist when manufacturing the products. Overall yield is affected by the substrate profile, ambient temperature, surface temperature, catalytic speed, wind and method of application. EQUIPMENT QUESTIONS

What is the difference between shore power rigs and “Turn-key” Rigs?

The difference is in the equipment package. Turn-key rigs provide both power and air to complete your equipment needs, all in one package. Shore power rigs require one or both power and air to be supplied from a separate source. Learn more about our custom rigs.

Where do I buy products?

Due to their popularity most manufactures are set up through both distribution and direct purchasing, depending on volume and credit availability. Distribution warehouses are located strategically to deliver within 1-2 business days and stock the more commonly used products for customer pick up. SprayWorks has an online store with a full line of products. We also provide affordable financing.

What is the cost of a machine?

Machine prices will vary from machine to machine and manufacture.  Air operated machines (starting in the low 8k range) generally cost the least while the more reliable electric/hydraulic machines (12k – 27k) are greater in cost. The supporting hoses, guns, transfer pumps and spare parts can be as much or more as the actual machine price. Contact one of our sales representatives today to see which machine fits your business needs.

What equipment do I need?

TRAINING QUESTIONS

Where do I get training?

In order to install a successful membrane, the “Spray Mechanic” has to know three basic things:

  1. The proper procedure in handling a spray application job,
  2. What the material should look like as it is being applied,
  3. What to do if there is a problem with the equipment on the job and have the ability to correct any problems.

As the foundation behind every successful spray company. Training is supplied free at our location with the purchase of a spray machine or rig. We also offer free online spray foam training, in-classroom training, and on-site training.
