Jim Davidson Celebrates 50 Years in the Spray Foam and Coatings Industries
Canton, OH – March 7, 2017 – SprayWorks Equipment Group’s Owner and Inventor, Jim Davidson, celebrates 50 years in the polyurethane industry. With a career beginning at the age of 12, while working for his father’s polyurethane equipment company (a Gusmer distributor), Jim has created a diverse background in spray foam and coatings application including; roofs, bridges, roads, parking decks, building envelopes, and more. He continues to work hard to give back to the industry with education and experience through his nine-year-old polyurethane equipment company, SprayWorks Equipment Group.
Jim’s industry recognitions and awards include; PMC Top Distributor (2015) and Polyurethane Foam & Silicone Protective Coatings “Quality Award” (Dow Corning, 1993-1996). Jim has been involved in automation for 30 years and his biggest achievements, thus far, have been designing the Spraybot and Barrel Blazer – as well as training hundreds of industry professionals over the last four decades. Additional inventions include; Excalibur, Passbot, and various high/low pressure dispensing systems.
“I understood my passion for the polyurethane industry from a young age,” said Jim Davidson, Owner of SprayWorks Equipment Group. “That passion was the driving force to help others grow in the industry and to share my knowledge through designing quality equipment that I wish I had when I was working on a hot roof or spraying for endless hours.”
